I know I've promised to be more frequent updates (and I haven't kept my word) but I've been slacking for good reason, I swear! That said, I'm going to renew my commitment to updating these posts (and sharing fun things with you guys).
I've extended my Half Marathon Challenge - no longer is it just a "13 in 13" - I'm set to run my 18th half on Saturday... all within 17 months! Never did I think I'd get this addicted. Not only that, but I'm signed up for races all the way through November (the Disney Wine & Dine in Orlando that I love so much!). I'm pretty sure that might be the end of the streak - I'm doing something I said I had no desire to do. I'll be running a FULL marathon in January 2014. Whaaat?! I'm excited and nervous, but mostly excited for the new challenge.
Seems so far away, and it really is, but this gives me plenty of mental time to psyche myself up for it. Not bad for a girl who used to hate running, right?
I've been busy learning some new tricks too - the last few months have been focused on weight training, and am so excited to share what I've learned through the process. Don't let anybody tell you weight training is bad for runners (I've been shaving time off my runs like whoa), and ladies - don't be afraid of adding some strength training into your routine, you'll love the results (I know I am!)
